Any advice on selecting safety footwear

It's been too long since I wore them for work to give useful current advice Mark, but have you tried 'double-lined' socks ?

I bought some from Tesco a few weeks back...recommended by a lady working there. They're supposed cut down on the rubbing, and do seem very comfy.

Nice idea but i find the problem with most safety footwear is that they just make your feet too hot
Double lined socks would just add to that
