KUCHING: A married man who faced five charges of raping an underage girl was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment and five whippings for three of the charges at the court yesterday.

How come, though, a rapist is given only 10 years and 10 lashings ... while someone committing burglary receives *3 x times that term of imprisonment and a *corresponding number of thrashings??

Hardly fair justice ... ... is it?

Maybe like the UK Borneo is plagued with limp wristed judges compared with peninsular Malaysia - in any case they'll both have a long time standing around to think about the error of their ways.
