I have got a good few scores right on here!
I'm getting more confident about Labour losing ground tho.
How often do bills go down?
Doesn't happen Joe, it's called life
Unless you're a young pup of 16 I would have thought you had lived long enough to see thats how life is
My mobile biils come down - used to be about 20 p a minute I recall. Yes, most things go up Joe -especially when you had a government which shafted us all in Labour.
What ya cryin' now for - too late
By the way Tories not ahead but the Labour lead much smaller and will carry on that way.
Thank god for that
well, when your wage doesn't go up, and bills go up, you're obviously worse off
has your wages gone up Les, mine has not
I have accepted the nasty medicine of a lower standard of living due to no pay rise, verses higher prices etc.
There is no other way of pulling the country out of the that the last bunch of incompetent treasonous crooks dragged us into.
Next:
EXIT the EU.
Joe, Graham spells it out for you - we were left broke as a Nation, we all have to tighten our belts, Me, You and everyone else! There is no other way of pulling the country out of the that the last bunch of incompetent treasonous crooks dragged us into
We cannot magic pay rises, we have to grin and bear it, slowly it is getting better.
You are in denial of the mess Labour left us in, and blame the present government for not making it better quicker.
I'm not saying they get it all right - Bedroom Tax a bad idea.
At least it is getting better and one day wages rises will be worth having.
Can't understand why anyone would want Labour back in after last time
We probably wouldn't have needed bedroom tax anyway if the previous fools hadn't filled up OUR social housing stock with chancers, crooks and parasites from Europe, Africa and other assorted failed nations.
If we were left broke as a nation, how come the gov could afford to give a 10% tax cut to the rich, I thought those with the broadest shoulders should bear most of the burden
Joe, the top 1% of earners pay about 30% of all tax received.
Let's take Rooney for example. If he really does earn £300,000 a week great, his income tax bill will be huge.
That guy will pay more income tax than all of us put together on here
You have to get a balance. If you tax people too high they might just say stuff it and move away - then they would contribute nothing - and everyone's taxes would increase.
If I could hypnotise you and erase your memory - then show you the state we were left in and how we are now - and not tell you which party was which, you would hammer Labour.
It's like a blinded loyalty to something we all know was a financial disaster, yet you blame the ones trying to put it right.
I would not be happy with the Coalition if it was all getting worse but it's not Joe, thats the point
what's good for the goose is good for the gander, give everyone a 10% tax cut - after all, there is only one type of money, whether you're rich or poor
Erm in case you hadn't noticed Joe, low earners pay less tax
I will leave you to this one Joe, you have ya fingers in your ears
has everyones tax code changed, I have an extra £---------------. per month
Person A vs person B
A earns £10000/yr and therefore pays no tax
B earns £11000/yr and pays 20% of £1000 (£200)
Both get 10% tax cut
A gets 10% of nothing
B gets 10% of £200 so is therefore £20 better off
A complains that B is £20 a year better off
Anyone else see where this is going?
Who the can live on £10k a year
oh, those who got a 10% tax cut must be really struggling to live
It was an example But to answer your question maybe a school leaver living at home with his or her parents
Her's another example for you
A earns 40K a year and pays £6379 a year
B earns 100K a year and pays £29884 a year
A saves about £640/yr B saves nearer £3000
All A can see is that B is now over £2300/yr better off
If I want more money I work extra hours
I am off for a birthday booze up in York a week on Saturday. I will spend about £140.
Can't really afford it, so next week I will work extra hours on a night (normally work days) to earn my fun money.
I don't whinge about people on more money than me.
Good luck to them.
My view is that if you want more money work overtime.
If you can't do that, try to get a better paid job.
Don't just sit there moaning people have more than you.
Plenty have less too !
Thanks to Simon for rep
I think most of you need to join a good union. 3.2% pay rise kicks in this month.
BTW can any of our financial experts explain to me that despite austerity and bedroom tax, and everything else supposedly heading down why Osborne has borrowed more in 4 years than the last Government did in 13?
At what point can we start blaming this shower of shiite for the mess? I mean they sold off the Post Office and sold back a lot of shares in the banks and various other sell offs. We've had the Olympics and all the money that was going to generate, and yet they've still borrowed more than the last shower.
Ha ha, would never join a bloody union, and most of us are not moaningI think most of you need to join a good union. 3.2% pay rise kicks in this month.
Working extra hours is the best bet if you want more money, no need to worry about how much tax you pay, because everyone's in the same boat at the end of the day!
I pick up some well rich people, drop them off at their fantastic houses and would love to be loaded myself, but good luck to them.
Some had risen to the top of their professions, one of my customers is a retired top director at John Menzies.
Another is an owner of a national frozen food company - loaded £200,000 car in drive - he can't be arsed with it
Good luck to him, he employs a stack load of people
The left always promotes envy of and hatred for the financially successful.
I met a great bloke earlier this year came over here from S Africa in 1975 in his 20's with nothing - self made man now British worth £60 million, lives in a manor house, yacht, helicopter, cars etc and employs loads of people. As you say Les good luck to him.
