    They won't get into power.
Politics in this country is skewed to favour one of two large parties, and people will vote for them knowing a vote for anyone else is a wasted vote.

When minor parties get their time in the sun is in elections people think don't matter - like European elections (I've never met one person who gives a stuff about them), or by elections where parties like the Looney Queen Chicken Alliance party can get a hundred or so votes (That party actually stood in an election once).

UKIP are going to make a huge impact in the Euro elections, run on proportional representation.

In the national election, I would put serious money on this happening..............IF UKIP are still popular (Who knows), then they will take votes mainly off the Conservatives. Just a few hundred votes are what decides elections in marginal seats. Purely due to UKIP Labour will win, the LibDems will either be near wiped out, or will have a handful of seats - and perhaps they will go into partnership with Labour, they've certainly proved they have no principles in the last 4 years.

Cameron has promised a referendum on the EU - it MIGHT happen if the Conservatives won. Labour has ruled it out, there's no way the LibDems would allow a referendum. So due to UKIP there will be no referendum, and under Labour there will be no re-negotiation on the EU.

This isn't what I hope to happen necessarily, it's what I analyse will happen - perhaps, I'm no political analyst

Totally agreed that it's always going to be Labour or Conservatives, but it's the influence the smaller parties have which can shape the policies of the big 2.

Quite a famous quote "If elections changed anything, they'd make them illegal"

Exactly...and of course, the leadership of UKIP (hopefully) not being idiots will advise voters to vote for whoever will hold a referendum.

The British political system, the Mother of Parliaments, corrupt to it's very core. Lets do an Iceland. Arrest all of them, imprison the guilty

well who are you going to vote for gWapito ? Putin - i think thatcher would be proud of him
Mr. Putin may control $40 billion or even $70 billion, in theory making him the richest head of state in world history.
    not bad for a communist

It does not help when we finally find out that the 2 of the main purchases of ROYAL MAIL were state backed funds from Singapore and Kuwait

So much for the ordinary man in the street getting his hands on a few shares

No ROYAL service, especially a confidential postal service, should be open to foreign ownership, investment or influence. Totally ridiculous.

Same goes for water and energy supplies.

Then again, what can we expect, living in a country that has been all but washed down the plughole.

Maybe with the Russians and Chinese flexing their muscles, it will put an end to any plans for them to build power stations in the UK now

I can see a third world war looming. Too many countries 'flexing muscles' at the moment.

Although it may be alarming and depressing, it's probably true one day
