    Keano

80/1 for him to be the next Man Utd Manager - he'd put the fear of god up Rooney, Ferdinand and the other nancy boys

Viewed as a legend until he fell out with Ferguson

Yes true, but you take on the boss - there is only one winner and he has remained bitter ever since.

Legend was Eric and always will be.

Seriously though imho Keane was the last hard man and proper captain you had since he retired his successors have been wimps and posers like Gobby Gary, Vidic, Ferdinand & Co. It is no coincidence that 2005 marked the start of serious competition to Uniteds dominance. Keane won more than any other United Captain.

    Keane v McCarthy: blow-by-blow
Keane and McCarthy are well and truly divided

A chronology of who said what, and when, in the ongoing row between Roy Keane and Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy.

''Roy Keane has launched an extraordinary attack on television's football pundits and revealed that he finds their work so excruciating that he would rather visit his dentist than sit on a panel of studio experts.''

He's obviously had a change of heart

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...-Football.html

The above articles expose Keane as a hypocrite and disloyal to his national team. Up until that fateful world cup he had my respect.
For years he slagged off the pundits....look at him now He makes me

Partly because the team from 92-2005 was better than the team after that,

Well if you call a player who kicks supporters a legend I suppose you are right.. And he was disloyal to Leeds. One thing you can say about Gerrard is that he is loyal to his club. He could have gone to any top european club.

My mates regularly takes a Sky cameraman to Manchester and met Gerrard a couple of times,he comes across as a right surly miserable git.
I wont deny his talent, but in hind-site he should have played elsewhere for a while and finished his career at Anfiled.
His list of trophies is dwarfed by Phil Nevilles
Same with Shearer-great player but hardly won out.

That was not during a game of football watched by millions.. Cantana was overated just like Rooney.. Neither one could lace George Best's boots.

Ha ha ha,one of the finest players of his generation,Cantona was the leader, the inspiration that completed the final piece of the Man utd jigsaw.
So highly rated that Ferguson went to France to bring him back.
I now know you don't know a thing about football if you don't rate Cantona, who was voted the 2nd most influencial foreign player to have played in the premiership of all time.
Bestie was brill but the Charlton,Law and Best team was no-where near as good as the class of 92 onwards led by Cantona-check the trophy room for proof
As for Kung Fu Kick he slipped it was an accident

    And?
You will realise the importance Cantona played in United s 20 year dominance of the Premiership.
He is a god to Man utd fans - ask my cat I named him Eric
