Hi Good day to all I have a questions about my son's visa application, my son is here now in the UK on a visit dependant visa , he will be 18 on the 26th of this month! and he decided to stay and live here in the UK, first I am not married to his father in the Philippines and his father is now married to someone and has his own family and he lives and working in another country,

Questions:

Can I apply my son for dependant settlement visa ( We are actually in a hurry mode for we need to do the application this week for he will be 18th on monday)

The reason why I did not bring him with me is because he want to finish his high school at least while I am adjusting my life to the British way of living which I felt that I can pass on to him once he comes and join me here

Can I still apply for his settlement visa that he is here now ?

Hi Cheshiregal, welcome aboard Filipino UK

Time is not on your side.
It's not possible to switch from visit visa to settlement visa.
He'll need to apply settlement route visa from Philippines.
