I wonder---under the old rules--how many foreign partners bailed out after the 2 year waiting time and are now living happily ever after--here--on benefits.

A bit harsh, she might be a very nice lady..you cant help your looks, you live with what you are born with...but in this case minus a few lbs!!

If the visa application was refused that means that they did apply which means that at least a £1000 involved. Oh well, at least its going back to the tax office from whence it came

Dedworth, she had little chance of bringing him here under the old rules

Not exactly toy boy when he's 27, what's the age difference 16yrs, some on here have a larger age gap between partners than that

Going from what I know on here not that many, then again some people are not going to come on here and post their marriage has ended.

That's not a true reflection of the bigger picture Joe ...if it were, we'd all be struggling with visa's...earning less thar 18k going the SS route....most contributors on here are in fresh relationships.

In 2013 over 35000 made it over here from the Philippines without problems. With the stats available you can draw you own conculsions

According to Mrs al Lardy "He’s a qualified labourer" they must have photoshopped his white stick out of all the photos

“He asked me to marry him straight away, but I said no as I wanted to be sure he was not using me for the visa, so I spoke to him online for 18 months.”

Surely 18 months to wait for a marriage to a Brit is nothing to someone determined to get that visa.

My hubby will never ever try hide anything from me, as I'm a good stalker.

See, she has lost some weight, not from sports though

She is overweight because she doesn't have money for gym membership, maybe you guys need to give her that too?
This wife.. has an amazing husband.

She's actually had the gall to post a couple of comments to the Mail :-

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/registrat...i/profile.html

Great quotes from some of the irate Hate Mail readers :-

For once the law appears to be working to safeguard the rights of British taxpayers. She is delusional to believe her 27 year old husband would stay with her once he got the right to remain in the UK and access to benefits.. Also the UK does not need any more "qualified labourers"

Suffering from depression got asthma a bad back stress and missing the good life on benefits if her husband gets over here she will be missing him too.

It always encouraging to know there are still some decent, right minded people around

She can just apply for DLA and she'll be exempted from the financial requirement.

One hopes that the "savage" cuts and tightening up of regs by the Govt would exclude a workshy self inflicted bloater - in saying that I can think of a few not too far from us yet to be nabbed, time I looked up the number for the DHSS Grass Line

Sorry to offend Arthur.......... Bigmac had already used my favourite "Lump" so it was a toss up between "Bloater" & "Lardy"
