I experienced the same situation a number of years ago April. We were all being kept awake so I eventually had to go 'round to my American neighbour's house and politely told him the problem and asked him to keep the noise down. He was very nice about it but invited me to join them!!!

The noise was toned down but the whole experience was instrumental in my moving to a detached house where we wouldn't have to put up with anyone else's noise
