China sentences nine to death for terrorism in Xinjiang
BEIJING (Reuters) - Authorities in China's restive Xinjiang region sentenced nine people to death on Thursday for "violent terrorism" crimes, state media reported, as part of a nation-wide crackdown on separatist militants.

You know Ded, I have been here in China for a while now and to be honest I feel as safe walking the streets as I have anywhere. I have seen this in the papers in passing and as I flick through the CCTV channels so it is well publisized which I guess to the outside world is unexpected. I have not seen any crime, you do not see packs of abusive teenagers or drug takers or beggers here or walls covered in graffiti. I am sure crime happens of course, but I have not seen a whiff of it.
These terrorists are getting what they deserve imo.
