So hard to believe when one has grown up with these entertainers who are so talented and always seemed to set such a good example to youngsters from all over the globe!

, Michael ... it's a "hard pill" for folk of our generation to swallow ... given the fact that BOTH you and I were no more than young kids when this multi~talented Aussie entertainer and brilliant artist first appeared on British television screens with his act 'Rolf Harris & Willoughby' in the mid 1950s!

Yes Arthur, I always used to enjoy his programs and I thought what an amazing painter, a sad waste of wonderful useful talent, It's all gone down the drain now!

    Very sad.

I used to watch his cartoon shows and looked up to him.

And now Jimmy Saville has been found to be into necrophilia.

At 84 years old I cannot see him getting out. I half expect him to top himself. I watched a life story about him a few years back and he was suicidal when the BBC axed him from the animal hospital series.

Totally inappropriate sentence. He'll be out in 3 years after being found guilty of 12 charges.

Yes, you're correct, Marco ... the same report concludes he's likely to serve only 3 years prior to being Released on Licence.

, unfortunately ... ... is the way the Crminal "Justice" System operates in England.

The sentence has been referred to the Attorney General already lol - seems like some people want him to die in jail for sure.

His current age should make no difference to the sentence. 10 years+ minimum should be the basic going rate.

I completely agree but this will spoil an already bad day for Harris :-

A statement from Dominic Grieve's office said: 'I can confirm that the sentence handed to Rolf Harris today has been referred to the Attorney General’s Office under the unduly lenient sentence scheme.

Personally, I also feel that the sentence given was too lenient.

Age and status should make no difference to the sentence IMO

I was at at art exhibition a few years back and there was a lot of art work by Rolf Harris at silly prices. I feel sorry for the people that bought any of this guy's work now. Only good for keeping the fire burning now.

Hitler is still looked on by a lot of Germans as a genius, he just moved too fast. Plus he did the honorable thing and topped himself. He commands a lot more respect than Mr Harris ever will.

Saying that..... he did commit mass murder.

Wouldn't it have been better to just put him in one of those old people's homes that abuse the residents?

We can never know for sure.
If I was charged with this and knew I was innocent, I think I would have been shouting like anything, he seemed to accept the verdicts ?
