    Single entry Philippine visa

Hi everyone! I just want to help my friend who's a bit worried about her fiance's visa. Her fiance applied for Philippine visa as they're staying for 5 weeks in Philippines. They're getting married there as well and after the wedding they're planning to go to Hongkong for 3 days then back to Philippines before coming back to UK but her fiance only got a single entry visa. Does it mean that it's likely that they will not let him enter Philippines after coming back from Hongkong? Thanks in advance for the replies...

Single entry is just that .....one entry.
However, he'll still be allowed to enter again on a 30 day visa free period.
If they can show evidence they're married then she can request a Balikbayan entry for 1 year.

He's been issued 3 months visa but single entry... so is there really no possible way for him to go back to Philippines within that period?

But I think when returning from Hong Kong to Philippines, he will need a return or onward ticket

As has been said, he will be able to re-enter Philippines.....he'll get 30 days visa free then he'll need to extend.
Alternatively he could buy 59 days upon his re-entry at immigration.

However his existing single entry visa validity will end at the time of his exit.

I don't see the problem .......many folks do the same.

You're right Stewart. Technically he'll need return tickets at each entry. I'd guess his UK return ticket would meet requirements

I guess you mean he could pay for an extension to his 30 day waiver? Don't think there would be a need to get any visa as the original trip is only 35 days in the first place.

As they will be married, I'd recommend taking the Balikbayan route. They will need their marriage cert with them. His original 3 months will then be replaced by 12 months...at no cost. If asked, show his UK return ticket, so take that too.

They may not have got the marriage cert before they go to Hong Kong

thank you very much for all the replies, it gave my friend and her fiance a relief. so I suggested that since theyre only staying 5 weeks in PI then it's alright if his 3 months visa ends when he exits PI (to HK) and just use the 30 days visa free when returning to PI
