Who Will Win The World Cup 2014?

So, come on you bunch of sports fanatics. Who will win the WC?

I'm going for Germany. Not because I like them, but because the Argie team held up a stupid banner saying that the Falklands belong to them, prior to the first game. 'oles

I can buy a BMW with no tech, or a Citreon Grand Picasso with wifi, internet, massager, DAB, GPS, lane drift warning, sign reading, semi-automatic, and endless other things. Official car of the year for 2014 was the Peugeot 308, beating BMW. Renault has the biggest market share in terms of sales in the EU.

After the group stages I received a free bet from paddy power for £5 I bet on a Germany V Costa Rica final with Germany to win (I know, the odds were good!) So was gutted when Costa Rica lost on Penalties in the quarter final.

So although I have nothing on it, I am backing Ze Germans!

    Fair argument!

I used to have a Peugeot 406 and it was a fine car - when the next generation came out they were rubbish - that's when I got the Mondeo after reading great reviews.

Take me a lot to got back to a French car now as I fancy the new model of Mondeo coming out later this year but who knows

Same here. I have Argentina at 4/1 at the start and I took the Germans at 11/2 so I am in a win/win situation.

I currently have 6 bets still active on the World Cup.

Highest scoring team, Holland at 7/1

Van Persie top goal scorer at 7/1

Top scoring Premier league team, Chelsea at 2/1

176 goals to be scored in the tournament at 40/1

Plus the Argies and Germans to win.

Argentina to win as I will win more money. but if I had no money riding on it I would want and expect the Germans to win.

The problem is, the Deutch car marketing divisions are very good at what they do. However, the cars do not match the hype.

As for not nice cars, have you actually seen the latest French cars? The reason that a 7-seat MPV can get 70 miles to the gallon, and they have so much technology, is that they have teamed up with the big named Asian manufacturer's. Renault have also supplied the engines for Red Bull during the last few winning seasons

    Yeah, guinea pigs..hahaha

Anyway, we meet with Keith's parents and kids (well they're not actually kids now) weekly that's why we have a big car. We currently have the Renault Scenic which is also 7-seat MPV. Plus whenever we have some occasion to go to, Keith's mum would always tell him to pick someone up..haha

But what we want with that Citroen Grand C4 Picasso is the tech! I loved it the moment we saw it in the dealership!

    Talking World Cup 2014

Hmm ... back to the "business in hand"(or should I say "foot"?)

    ... I ain't gonna "argy"~bargy about which team will win the coveted trophy - because I honestly couldn't give a damn - !

And ... ... since I neither own nor even drive a car ... their make(s) or model(s) make no odds to me, really.

That said, I hope fellow members will take my post in the spirit it's intended ... i.e., without offence ... because I respect BOTH topics are good, healthy interests - albeit they simply don't appeal to my tastes as an individual.

    ... Cheers!
