CFO appointment for a 6 year old child

    Hello everyone,
I have been trying to book an appointment for my step daughter to attend CFO to get her sticker in her passport, her UK Visa was issued on 3rd July, I know that she does not need to do the seminar, but cannot book an appointment, the site is very vague, we sent them an email last week but have not had a reply yet

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    George

Hi George, Welcome to the forum and Congratulations with the visa.

My mum registered my daughter with CFO last week got her sticker in just an hour process. You just need to be there as early as you can, first-come-first-served basis. My mum's impression was that it was a very pleasant service.

The proxy or the guardian parent can do that and doesn't need the child to be with them when they register.

Here is the list of their locations:

    Hiya Sars_notd_virus,

Thanks for the quick reply, we were thinking that my wife would have to go to CFO for her daughter's sticker when we fly back to pick her up but if we can get her mother to do it, it would be more convenient.

Would you know what paperwork mother-in-law would need to do this, and what she would need to do to prove she is her guardian?

    Regards
    George

    Hi George,

My Mum has got an "Affidavit" of parental travel permit for a minor. We got it in Philippine Embassy in London and sent it to her via DHL before we did the visa just in case we couldn't collect my daughter when the visa approved.

My mum used the affidavit for applying my daughters passport....DSWD clearance and CFO sticker.

Anyway, if you or wife will collect your minor daughter and that's the last document you need. You don't need to worry to get the affidavit as it is just for proxy.

Your wife's passport with CFO sticker will be alright to present with them.
