Bringing your niece here for a holiday

What forms do we need to fill in for a family member to come and visit us for a short holiday?

She will be under 18 years of age and her school will have broken up for school holiday, we are looking at next May time.

Also, we may bring her sister along too. She will be 13 years of age and we will have their parents permission to do this, but what other things must we do, the forms I have looked at all seem to be for over 18 years of age

I think they will be applying for a Child Visit Visa (under 18's) and not family visit visa since they are not on the list of family members that are eligible to apply for family visit visa.

    Child Visit Visa:

    https://www.gov.uk/child-visit-visa/overview

For the application form you have to apply online at

    https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/

My daughter along with my sister has recently been to the UK for a short holiday before school started in the Philippines so our experiences on visas will be on this thread I made.

You also need to secure a travel clearance for both minors for them to be able to travel alone without their parents. They won't be allowed to leave the Philippines unless they have the travel permit from DSWD.

How To Secure A Travel Clearance:

    Hope I helped!

Hahaha. It did gave me a few headaches, but it will all be worth it in the end. I assure you of that. Another tip, if you go ahead make sure you do the travel permit as soon as you can and gather all the various documents that are needed so you can send it early to the Philippines. Once it gets to early January to March when school starts to end there and summer holidays start, then it will be very busy. Good luck with the app and work on it! It's easy peasy surely.
