or disagree - I take your point.
It's all very easy for us to make our views about this known but this lady also has a family and they will be suffering greatly. I am not condoning in any way what she done and smuggling drugs DOES kill people whichever way you slice it but she IS British and the Indonesian Government should at least let her serve time rather than killing her. Not for her but for her family.
Maybe she should have thought of her family before she did it. The way I look at it is if she supplied drugs which found their way somehow to my kids and one of them died - I would sort her out myself.
It's the deterrent factor, she was old enough to know the risks and the law in that country.
As for being British we should dis-own her.
I'm sure she knew the risks she was taking when she carried the drugs, 'don't do the crime if you can't do the time'....
Never have been a fan of the death penalty - but, oh well, life goes on...
Her family is her responsibility, not those of the justice system. She made her choice, and now she has to live with it ..... until she is shot that is

I don't really agree with the taking of a human life and am glad it no longer happens in this country. However, the lady concerned must have been aware of the penalty in that country for trafficking. If you visit a country then you should be bound by the rules there with no exception. Maybe she is a grandmother, but even with all those years behind her is obviously incredibly stupid to think she would get off with anything less. The facts are the country has the death penalty, even if some of us don't like that. IMHO the Indonesians are completely justified in punishing her with her life. Although a loss and hard for her family I am sure they will think twice before doing anything similar and it will also act as a deterrent to other foreigners hoping to make quick money out of other peoples addictions.

Execution would also be a strong deterrent in this country and we should bring back the rope as both mandatory and non mandatory sentence for crimes such as terrorism, murder, treason, drug dealing/trafficking etc

Caught with £1.6 million worth of drugs there can be no doubt of her guilt. Roll on the 29th August when her appeal options expire
