Everyone has fond memories of home, even though for some filipinos the memories include hunger, disease, and poverty. Despite all of those, Mae is permanently homesick in Pampanga - she hasn't seen her parents or brothers and sisters for over 2 years. Her memories of home are overwhelmingly happy.
I hope when she is in the UK she will be safer, and even have more chances to phone home and go home!
