hehe, can u imagine an irish person without some kind of enebriating influence in his bloodstream at ANY point?
hehehe
gosh, that would be da end of da world!
I know how you feel Tom.
Today I took my car to the MOT garage, and I was told it would be ready in half an hour.
As I assume the worst case scenario in things of this nature, I was kind of ready to take the car to the local Rover specialist (customer of mine...)..
Well, it passed the MOT with flying colours.
The relief was immense.![]()
huh? ur a quarter irish u mean?
u mean u don't take ur whiskey and vod straight?
Tom,
I am very sorry to burst your bubble....
From Thursday 25th to Sunday 29th I was in Dublin, plying my trade..... Which is selling wine to the unsuspecting public....
Well, 3/4 of the people I approached at the RDS claimed to be tee-totalers or non drinkers...![]()
Unless,of course, they were lying to me...
Despite this, my colleagues and myself, managed to surpass last years turnover by a huge margin.
What I want to say, really, is that the stereotype hard drinking Irishman is a thing of the past.
Yup, the end of the world is nigh.....![]()
damn, you have just blown my cover dom! ... and u aren't having spaghetti and pizza for dinner at night whilst listening to pavarotti? hehehehe
i'm just messing!
i hoped u liked dublin mate
and as for the MOT thing, i think it's actually cheaper to put the car thru the MOT and get a list of things it has failed on ... than taking it to get serviced! lol
works out cheaper! hehehe!!
anyway!
peace

What's an MOT anyway?![]()

MOT- the name derived from the Ministry of Transport test it is an annual test of cars and roadworthiness aspects applicable to most vehicles in the UK..
![]()
We don't have such things on new vehicles![]()

Due to the nature of my job, high yearly mileage, etc.
It is no point for me to even consider purchasing a new car, the depreciation in value would be enourmous.
Not even the company car allowance could cover what I would lose.
And having a company car would open the flood gates for extra taxes + expenses for eventual repairs when it is time to return it.
So I will stick to buying low mileage, one previous owner vehicles.
well said dom
