An ill boy taken from the hospital by his parents - WOW!!! This happens every day, and is not news. Who cares if parents want their kid to die in peace? It is up to them.
Terror status raised - This is totally meaningless to the public, so why make news of it?

Raising the terror alert status makes it looks like the coalition of ditherers are actually doing something to protect their citizens from the mess that recent governments have got us into.
