For those wishing to build the house of their dreams in P.I.

Warning..This is a long but interesting read of a Yank building his retirement home..Worth a bookmark IMO.
I feel so sorry for the guy already and I am still only on the section of him struggling to build a perimeter wall!!
Man!! He is hemorrhaging cash on this stage of construction simply because he doesn't know if what his workers are doing is right or wrong!! Hopefully, things will improve for him as his blog goes on and he is quick to learn..
    Poor ole bugger!

Then they lay a "concrete" pad in the newly salvaged hole and put a hollow block on top..
    He aint happy!!

So he gets some new workers and they help him throw his $$`s in the hole in the form of tons of concrete and steel rebar!!

    Oh dear!

I did start to read this person's plight, but it went on too much. The best thing was all the pictures he put on.

Have a budget, and stick to it, I say.

That's a real nice link Fred

I've got a number of similar stories bookmarked in my favourites but started reading this a couple of hours ago and found it too contains countless hidden gems.

There's also links to loads of other invaluable material for prospective retirees planning a future in the Paradise Islands.

I reckon I've enough reading material from your link to keep me going for a good few weeks.

    Thank you Fred
