Experience While Paying thru Bank

That is true that not all branches of participating banks such as Standard Chartered, Banco De Oro, Metrobank and BPI accepts visa payment . So, what I did I just ask them to refer me to other branch that accepts visa payment.

I had trouble at first when I paid my visa at Metrobank. It was because they had just received the fax that day regarding the implementation of accepting payment for UK Visas.

As I am the first to pay the visa they don’t know how to deal with it yet. After I had paid the visa they just give me the payment receipt. And I have to pay fifty pesos for the payment transaction. The problem started when I try to book online day after I made the payment since it is not being accepted by the system and I could not access the booking online.

I ring the bank asking my REFERENCE NUMBER but they don’t know which to give and I was just ask to look at the payment slip. I entered all the numbers and data’s there but the appointment system would still not accept. The bank staff even was scared already if we get upset due to delay of posting of the payment.

I was even advised by the staff to just call Standard Chartered since it is the tie up Bank and it is direct to the Embassy. But the Standard Bank push me back to the Metrobank as it is where I made the payment and they have no hold on it.

It was solved when I ring the Embassy and I was given the format of the reference number. It was Date of Payment (date/month/year) and applicant’s passport number. So, I ring the bank again and told the staff about the reference format so they could just give it straight to every applicant and not to experience what I had been through thinking of nowhere that time.

I don’t know if paying thru Standard Chartered Bank is best rather than paying the others if they are the direct bank link to the Embassy. Maybe other’s have experience about this.

Well this time, the The Visa Application Center Appointment system has been temporarily shut down for maintenance and says applicant just have to email the visa support or call the call center for appointment. I don’t know if the reference format I have provided work this time or can help but just in case it will.

Best way to pay for the visa fee is by purchasing manager's check. There was no hassle when I purchased manager's check through BPI bank. You just tell them that you are going to buy manager's check for the british Embassy-Manila. You have to pay 50 for the check.

yes i agreed to joyce manager's check it is easy to purchase,to any banks just tell them payable to british embassy manila to pay your visa.cinmickey if your payment still not accepted to that bank,thats better to get the manager's check instead goodluck!!

Manager's Check is best for me too,it is good as cash and u can even make an appointment the same day u purchased it..

Since the online appointment system of the UK Visa is down for maintenance at the moment, u can send them an email stating ur complete name, the type of visa u are applying for (settlement, visit, working), the type of payment (Manager's Check or pre payment to the banks stated on the website), the amount u paid, the date when u pay, ur Passport number and scheduled date u want.
