Just a quick update , i picked up my wife from Heathrow last Friday along with her eight year old daughter who starts school in the uk after Christmas , and due to having a spouse visa my wife has no been able to start her new job.
so its gonna be a good Christmas.

yep , life is good at the moment.
my wife and i were in a different situation to most on here as she had been in the uk for a year before we met.
i wanted her daughter here for our wedding in october , but the visa came through a week after we were married , so i sent my wife home just before Christmas to pick her up , she didnt know her mum was coming to get her , so it was a total surprise.
like many on here we have been through so much what with visa's , visa's , visa's , work permits etc etc , it is hard going and sometimes soul destroying , but its has all been worth it in the end.
and the best thing is .... my new stepdaughter calls me ' Daddy ' , her choice , not mine , but im happy with that .
