Booked! (& also some of my experiences to date with PAL Airlines)

    HI guys,

Fully booked up for November 2014 - 3 weeks in Solano, Luzon.

I will be starting the marriage process - (will just be getting the marriage license, and returning in Jan 2015 for the actual wedding).

PAL Airlines - initially the flights cost me 665gbp, however I needed to extend my holiday from 2 weeks to 3 weeks.

This change came at the expense of an additional 250gbp!

One thing I've learned about PAL airlines - if you have any issues or need to make any changes - best to get someone in the Philippines to handle this on your behalf, as they are ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to deal with from the UK since they have no physical presence here in the UK.

Having said that, as long as you have someone to help you out over in the PH, things usually run very smoothly.

I flew with Philippines in APRIL 2014, and when I clicked on 'confirm payments' during the online flight booking process (back in November 2013), the website crashed. 2 weeks later, I noticed that PAL had charged for the flights, however no flight itinery or confirmation email was sent to me!

I did not receive a refund for this until February 2014!!! Again, PAL were extremely difficult to deal with through email, with every email response coming from a different customer service agent. When my girlfriend got involved, I received a full refund within a couple of days!

Hope my experiences give you guys some ideas of the standard of PAL's aftersales service!

    All the best,
    Ed

Bit late, but Philippine Airline issues can normally be dealt with thru facebook messaging, at least for flight changes. Try dealing with Cebu Pacific for any problem - then you will know, 3 months isn't too bad for refunds, as some of them can take 6-9 months if lucky.
