Broadband slow and connection dropping weekend 30 & 31 August

Sky non fibre broadband - looking at their forums there were many experiencing the same. Mrs D was off because it affected viewing her newly installed TFC. Her brother said they had a lot of downtime on their TFC coming through Virgin fibre

Aha that answers it. My Virgin mobile was crap all wknd. Could not watch the footy on sky go on my phone.

You wont hear it reported but China tried a cyber attack over the weekend because of our meddling beneath the surface in HK.
Well, thats my theory plusnet was slow as well.
