I have replied to your post, but after hitting the submit button, the page redirected to the thread top before I got the chance to read fully what the message was upon submit. I understand that as a newbie my posts will be moderated, and needs to be approved by the admin/mod, but since it didn't happen to my reply to charlwill's post, I was wondering if my message was automatically scrapped for certain reason/s?

I quoted your message, then wrote my not-so-very-short reply, so I'm thinking that could've been the reason. Or was it just merely submitted to the 'need-approval-before-posted' category since it was longer than automatically allowed reply?

    Thanks!

forgot to mention, if you start to apply for work, your employer might want evidence that you can work in the uk, as with my wife, whe she was offered a job in the NHS, they wanted evidence she could work, in her case it was a spouse visa, or a letter from the immigration department stating she can work in the UK, not many employers will take the risk of employing you if your Illegal as
"the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 makes it an offence to employ a worker over 16 years of age who has no right to work in the UK or to do the work being offered.

The penalties for doing so, even unknowingly, can be severe: the offence carries a maximum fine of £5,000 per illegal employee. What's more, criminal liability in such a case extends to any director, manager or officer of the company if illegal employment occurs with their consent, co-operation or as a result of their negligence
    ."

and i'm sure i've read that they can even face a prison sentance

    Thank you very much JAMZ!

My bf and I had a thorough talk about the issue after I have gathered information from this thread and online, and we have decided that he will just come for a visit this february. Feb is just around 4 months away, and I don't think we can acquire any sort of visa in this short period, so we just thought I'll just continue with my job here after he has left, and like we originally planned I'll just go visit him december next year.
I don't think It'll be hard for me to obtain a visit visa because I can prove I have a stable job here in Tokyo which is enough reason for me to come back, and just as long as I can provide what they require for obtaining it.
Thank you so much for the helpful responses I got from this thread, and I might come back again for inquiries when we finally decide to apply for a spouse visa sometime next next year.
Thank you everyone and more power to the forum!
You all had been very helpful!

Salingposas just rounded up the months to another month... Lol...

Hey, in a tourist visa, is employment enough to justify that you will come back???

Because as for my parents, as they will apply for a Tourist Visa, I am emphasizing to them that aside from the employment certification they will provide, they must also submit their Land title and documents that they have business in Manila because I find this a good evidence that they will really come back to the Philippines because they have a property in Manila and that they have business to sustain and manage.

(Oh well, my knowledge to Tourist Visa is just limited to how you can support yourself financially and what will bring you back to the Philippines after the duration of your visa)

Haha! Yep, he is planning to come last week of February, so I rounded it up to 4 months.
An african friend of mine (with a student visa here in tokyo) has come and gone to London/EU with a tourist visa UK+schengen, and she didn't encounter any difficulty at all, she just provided them with her documents, which included her bank account statement. Of course she needed a certain amount in it to prove she can support her stay there, and not end up a TNT or something.
I can only cross my fingers that I won't have difficulty with mine when the time comes for me to apply for it. It was our original plan anyways (for him to come see me first, then I go visit him afterwards), and the prospect of me living and working there only came to our minds in haste, and now that we have realised it can be hard, we readily scraped the idea.
Thanks JAMZ for the reply, and I'll remember your post as a cautionary measure nevertheless.
