In regards to your Q's, if you apply for a working visa and there is a company who are willing to hire you and process all your papers, it might be a possibility but the best way is to go to the uk embassy website where you can find all the requirements. Goodluck!

I have browsed the website of the UK embassy here in Tokyo earlier, they have sufficient info about obtaining visa, etc, but I don't think they will answer questions regarding switching visa from tourist to fiancee or working once already in UK right?

So I thought I should surf around the www first, and I stumbled upon this forum, which I'm glad about!
