Hi! Welcome to the forum...I personally think you get the tourist visa first. That way you'll get a taste of how life goes here. You do need to adjust to everything...to the cold weather, the culture, etc...though I am aware that you are capable of coming out triumphant from it all as you have already been out of the country, maybe for a period of time...Still, I do believe it is the most sensible thing to do.
