Thanks for that! I have read somewhere that if there's any changes (address, marital status) the person has to update his information in NI. Not actually the number. I'm confused now hahaha

I think only the woman has to inform the HMRC about changes if she gets married and plans to use her married name.

Yes. Please write to your nearest DWP office, Social Security office in Northern Ireland orInland Revenue office quoting your National Insurance number. Tell us what change has occurred and when it happened. For example:
If you are a woman you should tell us if you get married or become divorced or widowed.
If you move house, you need to tell us when you move and where you moved to. If you do not tell us when you move, we will not be able to keep your records up to date. This means that we will be unable to contact you if we need to; for example, if the NICs you paid in a tax year are not enough for that year to count for benefit purposes. Does he have to update all of those ASAP? or can he do that anytime he wants to?

He said he's not bothered hahaha. What would be the effect of it if he won't update his status of NI and pension? He has those, he said. But he has no insurance etc

"Not bothered" sounds infantile to me, you'd probably get nothing if he croaked. Not sure about what the effect of not updating NI is but they say they expect you to do it and I'd personally like to stay on the right side of HMRC
Electric & gas bills. Get points cards from the supermarkets in your name. Join the local library. I take it you have registered with the NHS, if not go to the local surgery and ask.
When time comes to apply for ILR you will need evidence of you being together over the full period SO KEEP ALL LETTERS WITH YOUR NAME ON.
