We plan to go on checking service for British registration after about six months because we need to gather some references from her school and GP to go with her application.

Sounds good, thou it says 2yrs for 13yrs old +, the longer she is in the UK before you apply can only help her case

Yes, if we could get it before the fee for British Registration goes up again next year, then that would be nice.
