I haven't the time to research why they were killed, but seems to me, more have died in Manila/Luzon than Mindanao - so I guess I'll avoid Manila from now on.

Well, if I had any inclination to go there, I wouldn't be basing my decision on the advice of someone that's never been there or - for that matter - probably never even been in the Philippines.
