Arrow Ban on divorce doesn’t keep couples together

Just because the Philippines is the last country on Earth to refuse to allow divorce for most of its citizens, that doesn’t mean Filipinos don’t fall out of love with one another.

The Catholic church is so powerful there, much of the poverty could be wiped out if smaller families were the norm....

... but this thread isn't about family planning ... it's about divorce!

's "rich" ... ... coming as it does from someone who hasn't been married himself.

My fiancee in the Philippines was married 27 years ago. 3 years after, and having had 2 sons by her, her husband abandoned them and went on to take another partner and eventually more siblings. Because we want to marry, she is now taking action to have the marriage annulled. We have been told this could be a lengthy and expensive process. When will the Catholic church come to their senses and move with the times. Surely the Pope can do something about it, after all he is supposed to be "THE BOSS"
