BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull had his eye on more than the forecast when weather girl Carol Kirkwood gave viewers her outlook yesterday.
As curvy Kirkwood presented the weather, her 58-year-old colleague jokingly told her that there was a "lot of interest in your isobars this morning".
He then proceeded to ask her if they were "tightly packed", further embarrassing the 52-year-old Scot who was wearing a figure-hugging red dress which displayed a small amount of cleavage.
Divorcee Kirkwood, who has 63,000 followers on Twitter, had been asking viewers to note the isobars which would lead to unseasonably high temperatures later in the week.
Some time after his clumsy innuendo, presenter Turnbull asked when Kirkwood might join the contestants on Strictly Come Dancing.
She replied that she had "two left feet", although her profile on the BBC website states: "On her days off, you will find Carol ensconced in a book, or singing and dancing!"
Turnbull formerly presented the flagship morning programme with Susanna Reid, whose celebrity status sky-rocketed after she took part in Strictly.
Father-of-three Turnbull suffered a health scare last year and was forced to take six weeks away from the studio couch.
