For a travel writer who claims to have travelled extensively throughout the Philippines this article is quite poor. Why does he highlight Mactan Island seeing the beaches are man made and then forget to mention the likes of Bantayan Island and the Camotes Islands amongst others in the province. He also describes Cebu Island as banana-shaped when it isn't and that the boat trip to Malapascua Island takes ten minutes from the mainland when it doesn't.
And like Steve mentions, he criminally forgets Alona Beach along with Puerto Galera, which has over thirty beaches to choose from, but instead brings up Baler which is more of a surfing destination, and Camiguin, which apart from the sandbar is not renowned for its beaches because of the volcanic black sand.
