Official meaning of Racism in the Oxford dictionary, and the legally accepted meaning:
The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

What the FA is charging the Wigan manager and Balotelli with over the word 'chink', Jews being tight, and 'black men can jump' is pathetic. They are not racist in any way as they do not fit under the definition.

Over the last few weeks Les and Dedworth have published comments on here that are closer to racist than the comments above, but even those do not fit into the official definition. However, under the media and FA definition, Whelan, Balotelli, Les and Dedworth are all racists.

If saying 'Jews are tight' makes you a racist, then also do the comments
The French are cowards. (Italians not far behind)
The Scottish are tight-fisted alcoholics.
The Welsh are sheep
Scousers are thieves.
Mancs are inbred morons.
The English are all thugs.
