    Over the ILR Hurdle

We went for ILR this week. Decided to pay the extra £400 and go for the priority route so we wouldn't have that horrible wait for God only knows how long.

Had our appointment at Lunar House in Croydon at 10 am on Monday. Everything went well and we received the BRP via courier yesterday.

I must say after our experience with the Spouse Visa, I was feeling a wee bit nervous. But we had a very nice case worker who asked a few questions and then gave us the all clear straight away.

Needless to say the Mrs had tears of joy again and now we move on to the next step of Citizenship.

    Happy days

Congratulations! We did the same - we went for ILR at the Solihull PEO. It's worth the cost to avoid the stress of the wait. Nice place, nice people. Job done in around 90 minutes all-in. Solihull is nice for shops/mall right next to the PEO too. I recommend going for an early AM appt to ensure you get everything done 'on the day'.

... Marco ... I'm delighted to read about Mary Grace's ILR. Congratulations and well done to you BOTH; the PEO route is definitely worth a wee bit extra expense for the sake of applicants' peace of mind.

's how we felt when Myrna booked her appointment through what was the [then] UKBA's Glasgow Office back in February 2011.

    Thanks everyone

Yes you're right Ded. Loads of Stanis in suits either Lawyers or Immigration advisers with handfuls of passports makes you realise there's a lot of money in the immigration game.
