    Filipino grocery stores

Just wondering guys, if there are any Filipino grocery stores around the York area, as we are hitting the Boxing Day sales when we go there. Thanks...

I didn't check and I know some of the information is very old so could be out of date but worth a try

No problems for me, I've got a big market right on my doorstop

Been looking for one by Heathrow, the one in that old thread either isn't there anymore, or just very hard to find! We drove past where google maps told me it should be the other day, wasn't to be seen

like i said many will have closed down, from the ones that use to be near me, they wouldn't get that many visitors a day, with having to pay wages, rent, buying stock many couldn't survive

Doncaster town centre, a brilliant Filipino store owned by a lady named Beth, unfortunately cannot remember the name of the shop but ask locals in town they will know because that's what we did. I will mention it has everything in the way of food from Philippines and well worth the journey every now and again!

Mark sorry to go away from the location this is for Slip :-

We popped into the one in Addlestone a week or so ago (probably a bit nearer than Reading and you can call by when you take your wife to the Mega Tesco/Marks & 'Spensive at Brooklands )

Cheers, although still a bit out of the way, about 13 miles from me.... I am quite literally on the doorstep of Heathrow airport.

The one mentioned in the previous thread should have been right by the big Tesco I shop at every week
