    Online check in

Trying to sort this out. I get right up to choosing our seats and it crashes. Try again and again and it crashes at the same spot. It says 48 hours before the flight I can do this. I shall try to creep up on it slowly and try again later.

    Steve,

Can you check that you have the latest Adobe flash plug-in installed and that your Java is up to date.

Also sometimes worth using a different browser. So, for example, if you're using Internet Explorer, get a copy of Google Chrome or Firefox (they will automatically install the latest secure versions) and try those.

When you run the seat selector, an application runs and it relies on software mentioned above to be up to date.

Give that a go, if the existing browser doesn't work.

    Tone

I was in an internet café in Tagaytay trying to allocate a seat for my return trip with Cathay Pacific last time, and I had problems. Yeah, I think it's something to do with the browser.

You know what Simon that my next thought,
It says i can check in 48 hours before and i get right up to where you chose your seat and it crashes,
The last time i did this on my other flight it use to say 24 hours, but nowhere does it say that now, but i shall give it a go at 12 today

Steve, I'm not sure who you're flying with but it might be worth joining their frequent flyer programme. It often gives you queue jumping benefits
How do you think I almost always manage to get upgraded

Maybe they don't know which type of plane will be used yet. Just a thought. I suppose you could phone them up!

777 from Manchester and you can book seats for return at same time if your using same seats, 330/300 from Hong Kong.
