Migrant fights migrant in Calais riot

Around two hundred migrants have fought running battles against one another in Calais, with Africans pitched against Afghans.

More than a hundred French riot police were sent in to stop the violence, which left seven men slightly injured after the migrants attacked each other with sticks and stones.

Last summer, police used tear gas to end fights among hundreds of migrants who were attempting to storm lorries bound for Britain.

The latest incidents, which lasted until around 3am on Satruday, took place in the sand dunes near the port where hundreds of migrants live in squalid camps or derelict buildings.
