No Connection

Ritually, every morning, my inbred sadness drives me to log on Filipino uk, it like an addiction.
I must read the posts, and sometime reply to some.

Today, I tried for hours to connect, but for some unexplained (yet) reason there was no success what so ever.
It wasn't at my end, because everything else worked great, only this site seemed to be down.

I felt abandoned, totally gutted, gone cold turkey....

For a dreadful moment I thought that someone had hacked into the forum and created chaos.
So I turned the pc off, and took Jet out shopping.

When we eventually got back, I tried to log on again, and this time it was ok.
So I guess Admin must have carried some maintenance out, without warning.

Well, I really hope that it was that....

No maintenace.....But I have had intermittent on/off with some of my sites......which is strange because they should all be on or off!!! Not random sites.

I've contacted the server manager, I can't find anything wrong.

It wasn't a problem with my server, it was in the UK somewhere along the line, as I have 2 servers, one in London, one in New York, and both had random sites not appearing on & off, and sometimes I could pick them up on foreign proxies, but not in the UK direct. All seems to have fixed itself now!

You cannot imagine how much energy I dedicated to swearing for not being able to log in.......

For an addict like me, it was absolute hell...

Do you realize that instead of sitting here confortably and read up about any Tom, Dick or Harriet, or give my two penny's worth, I had to fix things around the place...???

When I tried today, and succeded, it was bliss, as if a weight had lifted from my shoulders.....

It is ok for you living in the sticks...

But living in Wrexham, so close to Chester and also Cheshire Oaks retail outlet, it can get extremely expensive, this time of year, taking the wife out even for walkies.....
Good job she hasn't heard of Trafford Park yet.........

oh dear!I thought only me suffered the same problem yesterday...I was thinking loads of things like did the admin banned me from visiting the sites or the sites packed up but then i thought thats impossible.then i1ve tried it this morning and i managed to log inAmen!

same with me I thought there's something wrong going on..Clive told me and explained to me its the site that having a problem and I have to cheer up who knows it might be ok the next day..

see, how's this forum become a part of our day..like Dom has said, it is very addictive, it helped me become adjusted and aware of whats going on around me especially now here in the UK..

Midnight Mass was a totally new experience, as 30/40% of the readings and the singing was done in polish.... They even had an imported Polish priest doing his bit....

Sometime I wonder what happened to the "wanting" to integrate.... In this,once, great Country's politically correct eagerness to be nice to immigrants the powers that be, forget their own roots and traditions and spend some of my tax money on useless translations for people that should learn the language and the laws of the land they choose to move to before such move.
