I don't know about san pedro but santa cruz has adsl the wife had 100kbps a few years back via pldt and it worked and now they have wirless adsl.
A big aerial on the roof and they get about 300kbps i think it is smart.
I think its about 10 pounds a month or so and not that much for installation. Many of the neighbours have these aerials which is a great idea in a country hit by typhoons well at least for the installers
The signal is clear and good enough for voice (video and other smarty pants things are a bit hit and miss) but lets walk before we can run
both chat and basic voice from uk to laguna are fine, tried and tested over many years.
You also sometimes need to ask the right person or office some offices although we knew this system existed didn't
know a bit like pnb here in the uk![]()
andypaul,
i'll get the wife to tell her aunt to check again, if its around £10 a month, it will save me a bit, as me wife started using the phone more
and i want to change from bulldog to maybe be.com, 8mb unlimited costing me too much
yes i learnt the hard way paying rbs to use int money transfer, cost me like £40 to send a £1.... pnb saved me alot, use them every month for must be the last 5 years

i think smart and pldt both have a version of wirless adsl.
The aerial looks massive like something out of a 50's b movie. So roof access is needed. Took about an hour or so to install.
But it works and the kids were watching you tube and tv links (rip) with live streaming with only a few pauses to buffer which surprised me.
