Will their new owners still want them? Hundreds of luxury Land Rovers finally back on dry land after traumatic journey on capsized transporter – and some of them haven't survived the trip so well

  • Dozens of luxury Range Rovers and a Porsche have started to be driven off an ill-fated large car transporter ship
  • The Hoegh Osaka was deliberately grounded in the Solent on January 3 after it started to list at 52 degrees
  • Attempts to get the 52,000-tonne vessel to float failed and heavy winds and rain hampered efforts to get it to land
  • During strong winds a tug boat hit side of the vessel and an excavator shifted and punched a hole in the side of ship
  • About 3,000 tonnes of water were pumped out and when the list was reduced the boat was towed to Southampton
  • It arrived on January 22 and officials began driving off the first of 1,400 cars on board - mostly Range Rovers - today
  • A £260,000 Rolls Royce Wraith is still believed to be on the vessel and a Porsche Boxter was driven off the ship
