Can't think of anything more revolting
Wait a minute.......I live here. Should be easy to find plenty more
I hope Mirror readers don't think a "double down dog" is typical of Philippine food. Looks revolting as do the other combinations described in the article.
I would much rather eat Balut, barbecued chicken intestines or dinoguan (might have spelt that wrong).
Or..Pick up a can of this,go home and cook your Mrs a treat nalang!
Terpe, if you love black pudding why do you not like Dinuguan? It is my favourite dish because I love black pudding! Yummy!!
It's mostly phsycological because I've seen it being made and at the end it's still too liquid.
Black pudding has an appearance and texture quite different from it's starting point.
I eaten fresh blood from the chicken and the pig cooked on it's own and I like it.
Mental block.
Same with Balut. I was OK with that until my sis-in-law opened up the egg to show me what I'd been eating.
On my birthday last December 8 my bro-in-law slaughtered and butchered a pig. To be honest I haven't eaten hardly any pork since then.
I think that is the big issue for most people with Filipino dishes, the psychological aspect. Getting used to eating things that are not normally considered edible here
I have never tried the Goldilocks one but I will be sure to make hubby take me next time we are home
I had the double down burger of KFC in the past. I liked it the first few times but got bored with it after.

...When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible...
We lived in Japan for many years and so were able to enjoy some extreme foods.
I trust the food in Japan totally and it's always beautifully presented, even in the highway services.
Another food I just will not normally eat here is those chickens feet.
Whichever way they are cooked and presented they always look like chickens feet.
I find the presentation of Filipino food a little difficult to handle sometimes, but the taste is usually incredible if you can get over it.
