Sending electrical stuff to the Phils

Is it worth it? Toasters, kettles and so on, or is it just as cheap to buy there? Also, what about tools, drills, grinders and so on, will they work fine over there?

I brought a Makita heavy duty SDS drill, works great, and a Makita 4-inch angel grinder. Only thing with the grinder is the centre hole for the cutting wheels is a larger size than the ones here. There are 3 sizes, mine being the biggest. Available here are the 2 smaller sizes which - for 2nd size - you fit a ring-like washer. For mine, no washer adapter, though I took it to a machine shop to have it adapted on the lathe, but only for the 2nd size. Grinders are not so expensive in comparison to UK - a cheap one about Php 3,500, a good one, Bosch or Makita around Php 6,000. Just check the KHZ should be 40/50 I believe to work here properly on Phil electricity.

Toasters and kettles are not expensive. I would say buy here.

now hand tools such as spanners hammers masonary chisels are low quality here so i would bring your own,

i brought electric hair cut razor, doesnt work properly on this electric, so was a waste bringing

No good pickaxe handles here, they're either plastic or soft wood. Wish I'd brought a Hickory shaft.

Yard brushes I wish I'd brought too.

I now have a BEAUTY! Just arrived in BB box!

Now I just have to show them how to use it for them properly.

    It's all go!

On balance I'd say the overall price ranges for those small kitchen appliances are about the same
    in both countries.

The electrical plugs are much smaller and more convenient then UK ones fitted with an adapter.
Unless you intend to utilise a UK socket extension.
