    Tagolog speaking westerners

I was in Peterborough yesterday 31/1/15 and a white guy of around 18 started talking to my wife in tagolog. After 19 years of marriage I still only speak a few words of tagolog. He was only the second non Filipino I have met who could hold a conversation in tagolog. He said he had never been to the Phil but his best friend was Filipino. My question is how many of you can speak enough Tagolog to hold a conversation?

If you are gonna learn the lingo..Learn Tagalog first..
Tagalog is taught in every school in the R.P.. At the very least you will be understood.

I can speak enough Cebuano to hold a conversation. I surprised 2 Pinays at Poipet Border Crossing in Cambodia a week or so ago when I conversed with them. It's not difficult if you put your mind to it!

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
