    In the Philippines, the Balete tree is often associated as homes not for just insects, but also for supernatural creatures like tikbalang (demon horse), dwende (elves), kapre (smoking giants), and diwata (fairies).

    Within the churchyard at the tiny parish of *Fortingall, near Aberfeldy, Perthshire - *reputed to be the birthplace of Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate - there's a yew tree ... the origins of which, have been estimated as being between two and three thousand years' old, !

    Wow, that's amazing Arthur. I really didn't imagine that considering all the tree killing diseases we've had.
