Synopsis:
At 2 a.m. today, the eye of Typhoon "MINA" was located based on radar, satellite and surface data at 250 kms East of Virac, Catanduanes (14.0°N, 126.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It is forecast to move West at 15 kph.
Forecast:
Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas will have rains with gusty winds becoming stormy over Bicol Region and Samar provinces which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Luzon and the rest of Visayas will experience occasional rains and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Mindanao will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the Northwest to Southwest with slight to moderate seas.
