I'm fairly even-minded. Clarkson is a bit of an oaf but tbh, I think it's well past its sell by date and their salaries and cost of the programmes are poor value for the licence payer.
I quite enjoyed watching The Classic Car Show the other day (a timed classic car rally in Scotland) and I like that Alex Riley bloke

If he does go I would imagine the likes of channel 4 & 5 and many other satellite channels will be knocking at his door with plenty of cash as he and Top Gear are very bankable. the BBC has many skeletons in their closet (Saville for one) and at least Clarkson is not pc, speaks his mind and is in tune with an awful lot of the public.

BBC will lose a lot of money if they get rid of Top Gear. Apparently, if they won't show the last 3 episodes, the networks all over the world who already paid for the rights will be asking for refunds.I can't see anyone replacing Jeremy Clarkson. It won't be the same and the other 2 might not renew their contracts as well. They said contracts of these 3 guys are expiring end of this month.
