    Top Gear

What utter crap this programme has become. Yes, maybe I am the only person in the world that thinks it is more about the three stooges than the cars, but I am not going to watch or record this programme till the fat bloke goes.

I like the show. It's funny. I don't care about the cars though.

I'm fairly even-minded. Clarkson is a bit of an oaf but tbh, I think it's well past its sell by date and their salaries and cost of the programmes are poor value for the licence payer.

I quite enjoyed watching The Classic Car Show the other day (a timed classic car rally in Scotland) and I like that Alex Riley bloke

I only like the star in a reasonably-priced car bit...

Not seen the latest episodes though... Will watch them 30 times on 'Dave' next year.

I like the show and find it mildly amusing Clarkson is hanging on in there after his recent gaffs

Their outing in Argentina somewhat backfired

... but there're rumours circulating that we're unlikely to be seeing a lot of another Dave (TV-wise) from May 7 onwards!

You shouldn't listen to rumours Arthur, they're normally made up by people with nothing better to do

"The show is the most widely watched factual programme in the world and, despite that unfortunate Falklands car-reg row in Argentina, it shows no signs of heading for the scrapheap".

I think that makes it exceptional value for the licence payer!

The Chinese have copied the format, though they don't quite pull it off! It's a unique show, three grown blokes playing with souped-up man toys. Men behaving badly on wheels.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

The American version doesn't pull it off either, the right mix of presenters is essential and these three gel perfectly.

The 3 are now 2. Jeremy Clarkson was suspended by the BBC earlier today.

He had a "fracas" with one of the producers. Fisticuffs or manbags - everyone has a different idea of what constitutes a "fracas"

It's reported he punched a producer. That's surprised me as - even though he is a bit of a geezer with cars - I always saw him as a nancy sort of bloke

If he does go I would imagine the likes of channel 4 & 5 and many other satellite channels will be knocking at his door with plenty of cash as he and Top Gear are very bankable. the BBC has many skeletons in their closet (Saville for one) and at least Clarkson is not pc, speaks his mind and is in tune with an awful lot of the public.

BBC will lose a lot of money if they get rid of Top Gear. Apparently, if they won't show the last 3 episodes, the networks all over the world who already paid for the rights will be asking for refunds. I can't see anyone replacing Jeremy Clarkson. It won't be the same and the other 2 might not renew their contracts as well. They said contracts of these 3 guys are expiring end of this month.

To replace Clarkson they would need to find someone who is outspoken and capable of ruffling a few feathers!

Dedworth, what do you know about cars?

Clarkson's off-the-cuff comments are meant to annoy people - that's his act.

Like him or loathe him, he certainly knows how to command an audience, and his political incorrectness certainly appeals to me - and many others - judging by the public reaction to his suspension.
