Poor Ferdinand.... seems his wife died after a short battle with cancer. Must have been a late diagnosis.

Having gone through the awful experience of losing my own first wife to cancer [Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma] - shortly after she'd turned 52 - ... my sympathies are with Rio Ferdinand and his bereaved family.
