    Forum Donations!!!

Well, as Keith and I will be poor in the next 5 years, I do hope the ones who voted the Conservatives here would regularly donate to the forum so we can continue to run this forum without spending all our little earnings we get. £75 monthly share towards the forum shouldn't be that hard for you all to fill up monthly for the next 5 years, eh???

It’s easy to see who donates to the Forum by clicking on " Donate via Paypal " then " View Donations ". Those who donate are not all Conservative voters, nor do we self-promote ! Many members may feel they contribute in ways other than financial, and I wouldn’t make value judgements, just as I don’t on health topics.

Personally I hope to continue supporting the Forum and its members – I don’t expect ( or get ) replies to all my threads, nor do I take for granted either " thank you " posts or reps !

Thanks Doc! You're posts are always valued. At least we can get a break from too much political topics whenever you post! This post is tongue in the cheek about the result of the election, but donations that we ask sometimes is always a big help financially towards the running cost of the forum. As always, we are not forcing everyone to donate, just reminding that we do have the Donations area, just in case no one know or are not aware of.

I just wish that the members would also not just post about politics all the time. As you can see, majority of the recent posts now are about politics! We've had members of the forum who just stick to FB now instead of here because of that reason. I do direct them to the forum whenever they have queries, but in the end, they never do.

I take your point but it's been a major issue the build up to the Election, worthy of discussion and has added plenty to the post count.I'm sure now it will quieten down somewhat.

I'm a bit confused - I thought having the World Politics Thread was supposed to solve this :-

From now on post political threads here World Politics Chat

This thread cannot be seen by newbies, or those who are unregistered.

    http://filipinaroses.com/showthread....+Politics+Chat

Anyone who is registered but not interested in politics doesn't have to open topics in that thread. Since Keith issued this directive I have ceased posting "political" items on the News UK & Loose Talk

Newbies and non-members are the only ones who can't see it. Regular members can still see it (if they click "New Posts" it'll all be displayed).

... discount for pensioners ... Especially one who resisted voting either Conservative, Labour or SNP - and instead, chose to mark his ballot paper in favour of the Liberal Democrat candidate out of personal friendship & loyalty - as already indicated in #27 of the link below:

LOL! Arthur, this is tongue in the cheek post. Although the forum will always appreciate any donations. You don't have to worry.

This forum has been active for around 15 years now, and it was never set up to make money. Now and again advertising revenue may cover the monthly cost, but that is rare. Most of the time it comes out of my own pocket. All donations are appreciated, even if they are 50p

I did try being a rent boy once, but the MP wanted 98p change out of his £1
