How many miles do you do Graham, love the horn and you use stat nav too,
Great pictures
Nice pics Graham - I like the one with the phone & post boxes in pristine condition, they wouldn't last 5 minutes in some of our dreadful towns and cities
30 MPH thats going some,
Have you tried setting off speed camera's on your bike?
Nice pics btw
Haha...strictly down a long hill with a following wind.
Sore point that...no hills in York, where I lived before. EVERYWHERE round here.
YORKSHIRE SUMMER'S DAY
Quiet country lanes abound in greenery,
Wide open spaces 'midst glorious scenery.
There's much to commend in using a bike
Go where you want ... or stop when you like
Such a lot to feast your eyes on
When gazing t'ward the far horizon
Quaint villages with Norman Church tower
Are all best explored by pedal power
One thing's for sure - you'll never tire
Of the hills and dales in rural Yorkshire
Can be tough work ... but do not fear
Simply move down - or up - a gear!
When at length your trip is o'er
I guarantee you'll be back for more.
Very apt Arthur...and of course a deadly accurate description of 'god's own country' .
Actually, that reminds me...have to go back to that lovely village and have a look around the cemetery in the pic. My brother, (the genealogist of the family) has pointed out that our great grandmother, plus a few other relations from that era, hail from there ! What a coincidence.
